First/Birth Mother Connection Kit
Thoughtfully curated through consultation with Birth Mothers, the POST Biological Mother Starter Kit is created with all adoption situations in mind. This kit is created to foster connection through the use of our activity kits or simply a resource to hold space for your own personal stories.
POST believes that every Birth Mother should have the space not just to hold memories, but also to process your and your child’s story. POST strives to equip Adoptees, their biological families, and their adoptive families with the information and tools to foster healthy connections for a lifetime.
Each Birth Mother Starter Kit comes with our “Connection Box” custom designed to hold you and your child’s story, moments, and memories. The kit also include the following:
- Activity kit designed to foster connection for you and your child.
- The activity kit includes specific instructions and prompts to assist with facilitation.
- Michelle Thorne’s “Birth Mother Manifesto” framed and ready for display.
- The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse by Charlie Mackesy
- A matching POST journal and pen.
- POST merchandise including a mug, a tote, and vinyl stickers.
- Access and information regarding support groups through Lifetime Healing Foundation

If you are an Adoptive Parent purchasing a Starter Kit and you are in an open adoption, it is intended that Adoptive Parents provide the Birth Mother Starter Kit and any additional Connection Boxes as applicable.
